Yakiniku
The Robata grill is at the heart of our kitchen. It’s here that we cook our signature Yakiniku dishes - grilling meat, seafood and vegetables over the flames of the traditional charcoal fire.
The Robata originates from the centuries old cooking style of northern Japanese fishermen, who gathered around a communal sunken fire, called an Irori, which served both as a cooking area and a source of heat.
Sushi and sashimi
Super fresh and faultlessly prepared, our sushi and sashimi menu is heavily influenced by the everyday staples of early modern Japanese coastal communities.
We work with a specialist supplier to source top quality fish that is both sustainable and exceptionally fresh. These honest ingredients are elevated by the meticulous knife skills and manual dexterity of our chefs.
Small plates
Our sharing menu is completed by a diverse selection of small plates from across Japan, including tempura, gyoza, skewers and bao buns.
The Chef's Table
Our Chef's Table offers a seven-course tasting menu for those looking for a truly special and exclusive experience.
Seating between 6 and 8 guests, the ornate marble table boasts a fireside view of the open kitchen where your yakiniku, sushi and sashimi dishes will be prepared.
Our head chef will introduce each course, taking you from small plates such as Wagyu Beef Tataki and Soft Shell Crab, right through to signature dishes including Black Cod and Lamb Cutlets. Sake and wine pairing menus are also available.
Afternoon Tea
Our Afternoon Tea offers a truly unique experience in the heart of Bath, swapping sandwiches for sushi and scones for bao buns. Standout dishes from our menu of yakiniku, sushi and sashimi sharing plates are beautifully presented alongside sweet treats including Miso Cake and Mochi Ice Cream. All served with a selection of traditional Japanese teas and the option of sparkling wine.
Served from Tuesday - Friday Midday until 4pm.
